This is my revised review my first review was premature. I still think Clayton and Tatianna are best concierges I've ever seen. When you visit ask questions that way you wont be surprised by anything. Its a truly gorgeous building. The staff are accommodating and naturally kind and good natured. Any questions you have they are always answer honestly and are upfront.
The units are beyond gorgeous but you have to see them in person to truly appreciate them. THERE'S AIR CONDITIONING in every unit. Nancy and Gina are always cheerful even if you're in a bad mood seeing and talking to them will put you in a better or good mood. Erica and Derek are always helpful. With managing this place, upkeep, and tours understandable the office and staff can get busy. So they get back to you as soon as they can. Oakland will always be Oakland but 17th & Broadway Apartment is a true gem in downtown.

Moved in two months ago and so far this has been the best living experience I've ever had by a long-shot. First thing that jumped out is the staff. They are incredible (big shout-out to Clayton!). The apartment is real slick and clean. Mine has huge windows with incredible sunlight and a gorgeous view. I also have a spacious balcony which my dogs love.
I can't imagine asking for better amenities--pool, an entire floor dedicated to workspaces nice enough the rival a WeWork, heated pool, rooftop with amazing views, dog grooming salon, etc. The gym is actually functional in that it has enough equipment that has allowed me to comfortably cancel my YMCA membership. Personally, one of the things I value most is good people and the leasing staff is exactly that.
Other places have great leasing staff but the interactions are often generic and boilerplate. The staff here are genuinely kind and will go out of their way to help you. I've never felt more taken care of. And the residents here are friendly too! The only criticism I can think is the environment outside the building. On the weekend, things can get kind of sketch out there.
I think it's due being in a great location near restaurants, nightlife, etc. And, it is downtown Oakland after all. They have 24/7 security and I personally have never felt unsafe.

My Partner and I are so impressed with this residence. The leasing staff goes above and beyond by taking time to communicate effectively and giving personalized attention. We were even greeted with champagne when we arrived and pre-move in was so easy. Of course, the building is gorgeous, the amenities are perfect, the views are insane, but the helpful nature of the leasing professionals brings the experience over the top.

I heard about this location through a friend and I must say I'm obsessed! From the amenities, neighborhood outline and online gallery to the detailed in person customer service I received was impressive. Staff informed me of all local businesses along with benefits. No surprises I spoke with Gina whom scheduled me a tour in such short notice, listened and understand my budget and necessities. received my tour by Erica again very detailed and so much help answering all my questions. And lastly Clinton was also a great help in informing me and guiding me through this process. This location is absolutely beautiful with amazing finishes.

I definitely enjoy living here. My apartment is super cute and has all the modern conveniences I was looking for including a dishwasher, central heating and AC, in-unit laundry, garage parking, elevator, package lockers and trash chute. I love using the rooftop hot tub and going up to the 34th floor lounge and rooftop to enjoy the views. The staff here is top notch- very professional and friendly- especially Clayton, Gina, Charles, and the other maintenance man. Clayton organizes really creative social events that are fun to attend.
Noise level is very minimal within the building- I rarely ever hear my neighbors and on the occasion that I do it is very muffled, and city/ street noise is for the most part limited to the weekends. I appreciate that the building is kept clean with frequent sidewalk power washing, hallway vacuuming, meticulously clean common area bathrooms, etc. Neighbors all seem great too.

From the beginning, my partner and I knew we wanted to live in the downtown/uptown/lake area of Oakland and before touring we really thought we would like the brand new 1717 Webster building. After touring a few spots, it really came down to the interaction with Erica to why we chose 17th and Broadway. She was so patience, warm, and kind. She went above and beyond to accommodate our very indecisive minds.
We saw the apts on a Saturday and then wanted to go back Sunday and Erica went out of her way to show us them so we can make the decision. I could tell she knew this was an important decision for us and she cared. We have been here for about 2 months now and honestly, we love everything about it. The views form our apartment is a moving meditation, the amenities are top notch, and the building team - from Erica at leasing to the security to Clayton our concierge (hardest job ever but does it with such style and grace) to Isaac and Rod the maintenance team and Gina at management - they have all been professional, personable, and incredibly warm and kind. They bring a humanity and community to a downtown high rise which is not easy to do. We are incredibly grateful for our new home!

This team deserves 5 stars. I searched for apartments for months in this area (all online) and had terrible experiences. However, 17th and Broadway has just been different throughout my leasing process. I am moving from the other side of the country and have never been to California, so naturally I have questions. LOTS! Every question has been answered honestly and promptly.
This never happens. anywhere, trust me I've moved six times in the last 2 years. The team here has been nothing short of amazing when dealing with my unique circumstances and I can't thank them enough for that. If you're considering this place, just do it. they will take care of you.

Overall, a really nice apartment building with great amenities and helpful, friendly staff. The views from the apartments and roof deck are amazing. Very lively neighborhood with good restaurants and bars. I can only imagine how much better it would be in a post pandemic world. Only negative is the street noise (to be expected given it's on Broadway) and the units are a bit pricey.
