I am a graphic artist seeking a full or part time position with a local company. I have years of experience with Photoshop and Illustrator. I have been recently completing design work as a freelance artist for clients outside of my regular job. I am also skilled in portraiture and freehand artwork. I have done everything from large portraits, to caricatures, tattoo and t-shirt designs, business cards, full identity systems, flyers and posters, magazine ads, character design, and other works. I have been out of the design field for two years now and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to get back into the field. I am very used to fast paced environments and tight deadlines, and am a very fast learner. I am looking to learn as much as I can about the design industry so as to gain experience and build a solid future for myself. I will be willing to accept a position with any company that has an opening for someone with my abilities. I will also be willing to assist with contract or freelance work. I have included my resume below for your consideration. Work samples will be available upon request. I look forward to your reply and hope you have a wonderful day.

WMC-TV Channel 5 Memphis

During my time at Channel 5, I was required to learn two new software programs, which I picked up faster than previous trainees. After becoming proficient with them, I was expected to create on air still graphics and animated maps in a very short amount of time. I became aware very quickly that time was of the essence in news, and that deadlines had to be met with unerring efficiency. After a couple of months, I was placed on my own shift where I was completely responsible for all graphics made for at least three broadcasts. In January of 2007, I was promoted to full time and was also responsible for training new hires on software and procedure.

I began working for the Chick-fil-A Corporation in Memphis in 1998 when they first introduced free-standing units to the area. All employees were held to the highest standard of service for the food service industry, and were expected to be a cut above the rest. We were all trained at every position in the store to maximize our functionality. When the next unit opened on Poplar near Mendenhall,
a select few, of which I was one, were trusted to set up the store and train the new employees. In 2002 I transferred to the Southaven store for higher pay, but the job remained the same. I still was required to communicate information to customers, keep the store stocked, clean, and running smoothly, cook food, take orders, handle money, delegate tasks to other employees, and even resolve customer complaints.
